Job Description

Summary / Objective
The Product Performance Analyst is the analytical accelerator behind the team's commercial strategy, with a focus on pre-voyage products and business case analysis. This crew member is a data-driven contributor who powers the Sr Lead of Product Performance & Analytics and Director with the right analysis, at the right time, to drive incremental pre-voyage revenue across all products and programs including onboard revenue.
This role does not own the strategy, it fuels it. Working in close partnership with the Sr Lead of Product Performance & Analytics and Director, the analyst is responsible for delivering the depth and quality of analysis that enables confident, commercially sound decisions at the leadership level. From end-to-end product performance views to pre-voyage revenue trends and ROI cases, this person ensures nothing gets decided without the data to back it up.
While the primary focus is commercial product performance and pre-voyage revenue generation, this role also provides analytical support to the Sailor Satisfaction strategy specifically where product experience and sailor sentiment connect to purchasing behavior and revenue outcomes.
Essential ResponsibilitiesCommercial Revenue Analysis & Insights

  • Develop and continuously refine end-to-end performance views across all pre-voyage revenue products and programs, surfacing trends, gaps, and incremental revenue opportunities for the Sr. Lead and Director to act on.
  • Conduct deep-dive, ad-hoc analysis to identify revenue uplift opportunities across pre-voyage commercial channels (packages, upgrades, add-ons, and ancillary offerings), providing the analytical foundation for commercial decision-making.
  • Build ROI-driven business cases that clearly quantify the revenue impact of product changes, program adjustments, or new commercial initiatives — equipping the Manager with the data needed to drive those decisions forward.
  • Monitor and analyze pre-voyage revenue performance against targets, delivering regular variance analysis and clearly articulating the commercial drivers behind performance trends.
  • Translate complex data sets into clean, decision-ready analysis that enables the Product Performance Manager and Director to move quickly and confidently.

Product Performance & End-to-End Views

  • Build and maintain comprehensive product performance views that connect pre-voyage purchasing behavior to onboard experience outcomes and overall commercial results.
  • Work in close partnership with the Product Performance Manager to support the development of program review strategies, providing the analytical rigor that ensures product decisions are grounded in revenue and performance data.
  • Evaluate product and program performance across the full sailor journey, highlighting where commercial performance can be strengthened and bringing that analysis to the Manager to inform strategic direction.
  • Proactively flag underperforming products or programs with data-backed context and recommended options, enabling the Manager to course-correct and recover revenue opportunities.

Reporting, Dashboards & Decision Support

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute effective reporting and dashboards that give the team real-time visibility into pre-voyage revenue performance, product KPIs, and progress against commercial objectives.
  • Serve as the analytical backbone for the Product Performance Manager and Director — consistently delivering the insights, context, and supporting analysis needed to prioritize and drive key business decisions.
  • Clearly present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, always framing analysis in terms of commercial impact and revenue opportunity.
  • Contribute to a culture of performance-driven, commercially focused decision-making by consistently raising the quality and depth of analysis available to the team.

Sailor Satisfaction as a Commercial Lever

  • Support the Sailor Satisfaction strategy by analyzing how product experience and service quality directly influence pre-voyage purchasing behavior and revenue performance.
  • Identify correlations between sailor sentiment, product ratings, and commercial outcomes, using these insights to inform product and program improvements that drive revenue.
  • Provide analytical support on satisfaction initiatives where there is a clear commercial case, ensuring guest experience investments are tied to measurable revenue outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an analyst role, with a demonstrated focus on commercial, revenue, or product performance analysis
  • 2+ years of experience working with large data sets and developing process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with deep expertise in commercial KPIs, revenue metrics, and ROI analysis
  • Proven ability to translate data into clear, commercially focused recommendations and present findings to senior stakeholders
  • Experience with interactive reporting and business intelligence tools; Tableau strongly preferred
  • CRM tool experience required; Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and/or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills — verbal, written, and presentation — with the ability to tailor messaging to commercial decision-makers
  • An innovative, curiosity-driven analytical mindset — constantly exploring new ways to extract insight, challenge assumptions, and push beyond standard reporting
  • A genuine curiosity for AI is a must. This person actively seeks out, tests, and adopts emerging AI and analytics tools — not because they're asked to, but because they're driven to work smarter, move faster, and deliver better analysis
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning in the AI and technology space — staying current on new tools, capabilities, and applications and proactively bringing those learnings back to improve how the team operates
  • Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of AI-assisted analytics tools, large language models, or machine learning applications in a business context (e.g., predictive modeling, revenue forecasting, behavioral segmentation, or automated insight generation)
  • Ability to evaluate and integrate new analytical technologies into existing workflows, identifying where AI and automation can unlock faster, more accurate commercial decision-making
  • A self-starter mentality when it comes to AI adoption — this person doesn't wait for tools to be handed to them; they experiment, learn, and figure out how to apply new technology to real commercial problems

Preferred:

  • Experience in travel, hospitality, cruise, or a similarly dynamic consumer-facing industry
  • Familiarity with pre-voyage or ancillary revenue models and e-commerce purchasing behavior
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with decision-ready analysis in a fast-paced commercial environment
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to accelerate analysis, generate hypotheses, or augment reporting workflows
  • Exposure to predictive analytics or propensity modeling to anticipate sailor purchasing behavior and inform revenue strategy
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or SQL as a complement to BI tool proficiency
