Summary
In this role, you’ll take the lead on technically complex Feed & Oil (Type C) projects, where your engineering expertise directly shapes successful outcomes. You’ll be trusted to guide projects from concept through delivery by balancing technical quality, timelines, and budgets. You will also partner closely with customers to ensure their goals are met or exceeded. Job Responsibilities
- Start-ups and commissions new industrial Feed & Oil equipment and plants; develops process designs according to customer specifications and ensures proper project execution by following standardized processes
- Resolves issues and answers questions related to technology that may occur during the design, manufacturing, installation and/or commissioning phase of projects; may escalate complex questions or issues or leadership personnel for resolution or guidance
- Supports customers to further improve plant efficiency and demonstrates how technology contributes to this goal; conducts plant technical surveys and develops and presents improvement proposals
- Serves as the North American process engineering and equipment expert through experience and training and may serve as the company technical representative on industry trade group technical committees
- Serves as a liaison between customer and sales and service regarding all technical issues
- Assists in developing new and existing service and maintenance programs; captures and develops sales and service opportunities
- Participates in continual learning activities and applies practical application to work performed
- Must arrive at work predictably and promptly
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Technical/Vocational diploma or degree from an accredited institution in mechanical, electrical or process engineering or related field
- 2 years in a previous engineering role is preferred
- Microsoft Office required; AutoCAD, ProjectWise, D3 preferred; enterprise software, such as SAP is preferred
- Works collaboratively with a group of employees in order to achieve a common goal
- Strong problem solving ability
- Negotiation skills
- Sets clear goals and functions effectively under critical and tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and other pressures
- Presents information, analysis, and ideas in writing in a clear and concise manner; speaks clearly so that others can hear and understand what is being said
- Speaks and understands English
- Domestic and international travel 60% of time which may include long hours and non-traditional work schedules
