Summary of the role
As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex, customer-facing implementation programs for travel agency partners across the Asia Pacific region, as well as represent APAC in large global programs. You will be accountable for end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment between customer objectives and Amadeus solutions, with full ownership of delivery governance, stakeholder management, risk management and business outcomes.
You will operate with a high level of autonomy, influencing decisions across multiple teams and contributing to the evolution of project management practices within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Program Delivery
Lead multiple complex implementation projects and programs for travel agency customers, covering solutions such as the Amadeus Global Distribution System (GDS), automation solutions, integration with third-party solutions, Web Services, and related Amadeus platforms
Accountable for delivery from contract signature through implementation, cutover, and stabilization
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, budget and quality standards
Develop and execute detailed project plans, including milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies
2. Governance, Risk & Financial Management
Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks, including steering committees and reporting cadence
Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes across complex environments
Oversee project budget and forecasting when required
Ensure adherence to Amadeus and industry project management methodologies and standards
3. Stakeholder & Customer Management
Act as primary interface for customers, project workstream owners and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
Lead customer governance forums, including steering committees and executive reviews
Manage expectations, escalations, and critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution
Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agency customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
4. Cross-functional Leadership
Coordinate delivery across Product, R&D, Implementation, Operations, and Partner teams
Facilitate alignment across multiple workstreams and geographies
Lead cross-functional teams in planning, execution, and delivery tracking
Ensure effective handover to operational post-implementation
5. Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Contribute to transversal initiatives and process improvements across Delivery Management and Project Management practices
Identify opportunities to optimize project management models, tools and methodologies
Support adoption of agile and hybrid delivery approaches where relevant
6. Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
Act as a reference for project management expertise, supporting and mentoring junior project managers
Promote best practices, standards, and knowledge sharing within the team
Contribute to building project management capability in the APAC organization
Relevant Experience:
Proven experience in Project / Program Management (IT or travel industry preferred)
Proven track record managing complex customer implementations
Experience in travel ecosystem (GDS, airlines, travel agencies) is highly desirable
Strong stakeholder management with exposure to senior/executive stakeholders
Expertise in governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks
Ability to lead cross-functional teams across multiple countries in APAC
Strong decision-making and influencing skills
Relevant degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management or Travel & Tourism
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum / SAFe) certifications preferred
This role requires valid and unrestricted work rights in Thailand.
