Responsibilities: 

  • Administer a portfolio of trusts in line with the trust deed and applicable legislation
  • Maintain statutory records, including:  Trust deeds and amendments, Letters of authority, Trustee resolutions, Beneficiary registers
  • Prepare trustee meeting packs and minutes.
  • Ensure proper execution of trustee decisions and resolutions.
  • Compliance with trust instrument
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with co-trustees and beneficiaries. 
  • Analyse and interpret financial statements advantageous 
  • Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including accountants, tax advisors, investments advisors, etc  
  • Compliance and monitoring of regulatory and legislative requirements associated with Trusts
  • Timely completion of regulatory and tax submissions
  • Accurate processing of distributions and payments
  • Effective trustee support and governance documentation
  • Knowledge of trust law, associated legi and ensure fslation and fiduciary principles
  • Understanding of tax (income tax, CGT, donations tax in SA context)
  • Financial literacy (basic accounting and investments)
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers' expectations through proactive, innovative, and 
  • appropriate solutions. 

Qualifications: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Law, Finance, Financial Planning)
  •  3+ years’ experience in trust administration, financial planning or fiduciary services
  • Professional qualifications advantageous (FISA; CFP; etc)
