We are seeking a mid‑level Backend Developer with a strong foundation in Java, SQL, and interface development to support the modernization, enhancement, and integration of enterprise applications. This role works under limited supervision, with latitude for initiative, independent judgment, and problem‑solving in a complex technology environment.

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend services, APIs, and system interfaces supporting enterprise level applications.
Develop high quality Java based components, leveraging secure coding practices, structured design patterns, and maintainable code principles.
Build and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data access layers that ensure reliable data integration and exchange.
Participate in integration development efforts, including API design, data interchange, and orchestration using preferred platforms (Talend Cloud, MuleSoft).
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including application defects, integration failures, and data inconsistencies.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, provide accurate estimations, contribute to sprint delivery, and support continuous improvement activities.

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Experience: Three years of experience with programming concepts and programming languages, including Java; may substitute credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with SQL and relational database development
Experience in backend development or interface/integration development
Knowledge of programming concepts and OO design principles
Knowledge or exposure to web or application development fundamentals
Skill in Java programming, SQL development, debugging, and integration workflows
Skill in learning new technologies and working in modern application environments
Skill in critical thinking, problem solving, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced team
Skill or willingness to learn new technologies, processes, and coding languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
Experience in the IT field, with agile methodologies, or working on IT projects
Experience designing or supporting REST APIs or microservices
Experience with Talend Cloud, MuleSoft, or other enterprise integration/middleware technologies
