Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admissions/Registration Coordinator - Boca Raton, FL.
The Admissions/Registration Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting student academic progress and institutional compliance by evaluating transfer credits and ensuring alignment with university and college degree requirements. This position is responsible for making final determinations on credit transferability, documenting clear and detailed rationales, and providing recommendations to academic departments.
The role also oversees the verification of student eligibility, monitors academic progress, and ensures timely submission of compliance-related documentation. Working collaboratively with the Office of the Registrar and campus partners, the coordinator ensures accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in student records and processes.
This position requires strong knowledge of university policies and regulations, active participation in cross-departmental initiatives, and a commitment to student success, including support for graduation-related activities.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Ensure credits align with university and college degree requirements, including institutional and any applicable third-party regulations.
- Provide final determinations regarding credit transferability and offer recommendations to the appropriate FAU departments. Prepare detailed summaries that document and explain the rationale and eligibility determination for each assessment.
- Responsible for verifying the ongoing eligibility of select student groups, ensuring they meet all necessary academic requirements relating to enrollment and academic progress toward graduation. This includes actively participating in inter-departmental meetings.
- Responsible for the timely submission of assigned academic eligibility rosters, ensuring all deadlines and compliance standards are met without delay.
- Stay current with university by-laws, policies, rules, and regulations pertaining to degree requirements, ensuring compliance and adherence to institutional guidelines. Perform research to effectively interpret and apply these regulations.
- Collaborate with staff within the Office of the Registrar and other university departments to ensure seamless coordination, accuracy, and efficiency in handling student records and eligibility processes.
- Assists with Graduation ceremonies.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Proficiency with Banner Student Information System and degree audit tools.
Experience conducting comprehensive degree audits and evaluating academic transcripts.
Familiar with NCAA Division I academic eligibility requirements and standards.
Experience working in an advising, admissions, or registrar's office within a higher education setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Experience working with data requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Salary:
