Haskell is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with modular design experience to join our Salt Lake City office

This individual will collaborate with other engineering disciplines and construction teams within Haskell, driven by the same values of team, excellence, service, and trust

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Create department project budgets, delegating projects/tasks to group engineers and designers, attend client & project meetings, and manage project deadlines and overall workload within the group
Work with the Structural Practice Area Leader in the developing of group and corporate standards, and in research and incorporation of innovative technologies
Coach and mentor staff by performing team member performance reviews, manage career path opportunities, and encourage professional development
Assist in securing project work by representing Haskell as a leader for the discipline in client-facing engagements and developing detailed discipline scopes and budgets for proposal efforts
Ensure quality control by providing technical guidance, problem-solving expertise, performing interdisciplinary coordination, and supporting construction efforts
Participate in a leadership role in quality assurance/quality control/best practices of structural engineering work for efficiency, constructability, and safety in the field
Keep updated on new technologies and assist in the incorporation of emerging technologies into the A/E practice and discipline design standards
To thrive in this role, you will need: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering or other degree related to the structural engineering profession 8+ years of structural engineering experience Professional Engineer (PE) license required Modular design experience Ability to actively engage in multiple assignments and prioritize competing project demands
Communicate effectively and professionally with external/internal customers and staff to convey pertinent project information, work through issues, and drive solutions
Collaborative and forward-thinking approach to drive company excellence, team performance, and quality work
Ability to lead a diverse team to achieve business outcomes while helping individuals pursue professional and personal growth
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build trust with other design team members, construction partners, and clients

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds
Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear
