Shop Helper – Manufacturing & Fabrication Watson Custom Tanks Location: On-siteSchedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PMPay: $18–$19 per hour Job Summary Watson Custom Tanks is actively hiring a Shop Helper to support our growing metal fabrication and manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on production role ideal for dependable individuals looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced industrial environment. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are key to success in this position. Key Responsibilities Build wooden crates, skids, and pallets for shipment Load and unload equipment, raw materials, and freight Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed) Assist with grinding, washing tanks, and removing protective film Support shipping and receiving activities Gather parts and materials to maintain production flow Assist shop floor teams with general labor tasks Perform shop cleanup, including dumping scrap using forklifts Maintain safe, organized, and efficient work areas Perform additional duties as needed to support operations Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED preferred Experience & Technical Skills 2+ years of manufacturing or shop experience preferred Forklift experience preferred Ability to read tape measures accurately Experience using hand and power tools Soft Skills Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills Professional, respectful interaction with coworkers and customers Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds Use of hands, arms, and fine motor skills Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception Must wear required PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe boots Safety Commitment Safety is a top priority at Watson Custom Tanks.
