RC RAK Al Wadi, Activities Officer

POSITION SUMMARY

Support all recreation and adventure activities on the property, including pools, fitness, kids club, biking, and desert experiences. Inform, upsell, and schedule guests for activities while ensuring a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment.

Have work previously with wildlife and conservation (e.g., Arabian Oryx and desert gazelles), operate confidently in desert conditions, and deliver core activities (such as stargazing, hiking, biking, driving, wildlife feeding, birds watching, Archery) within three months. Maintain facilities, support events, conduct activities and perform cashiering duties when required.

Recreation & Adventure Operations

• Inform and engage guests on activities
• Schedule and deliver experiences and activities events

Safety & Compliance

• Monitor activities and ensure guest safety
• Responding to emergencies and reporting incidents related to guests or wildlife

Wildlife & Conservation

• Follow feeding procedures and handle animals safely
• Support conservation and educational experiences

Equipment & Facilities

• Maintain cleanliness and inspect equipment and recreation facilities and report any damaged equipment.

Guest Experience

• Deliver personalized service aligned with Marriott standards

Administration & Finance

• Process transactions and use of the provided systems

SUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow company policies and maintain professional standards
• Communicate effectively and support teamwork
• Protect company assets and ensure data accuracy
• Report direct to recreation supervisor and recreation manager

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Work outdoors in desert conditions
• Perform physically demanding tasks (walking, lifting, hiking, driving and cycling)

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred

• Diploma or experience in recreation/conservation, hospitality, or outdoor environments

Required

• CPR & First Aid Certification
• UAE manual driving license with 4x4 experience
• Relevant recreation/outdoor experience
• Good English communication and reading skills
• Ability to manage multiple activities
• Comfortable working in desert and with wildlife
