YOUR OPPORTUNITY

As the Financial Analyst III/Sr. Financial Analyst you will support a growing custom manufacturing business by driving strategic financial analysis, operational forecasting, manufacturing cost accounting, and business performance insights within a fast-paced commercial HVAC environment.

Influence key business decisions by partnering with senior leadership to improve profitability, optimize manufacturing costs, support pricing strategy, and enhance operational performance across the Custom Air Handling Unit (CAHU) business.

The Business Unit

The Custom Air Handling Unit (CAHU) business designs and manufactures engineered-to-order HVAC systems for highly specialized commercial and institutional applications. Each custom unit requires detailed cost analysis, operational planning, and financial oversight, creating a dynamic environment for professionals with expertise in operations finance, manufacturing accounting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead monthly financial close, variance analysis, and executive reporting for CAHU operations
  • Drive annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning initiatives
  • Manage manufacturing cost accounting across labor, materials, inventory, and WIP
  • Identify cost and margin variances, uncover root causes, and drive corrective actions
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and operations to support pricing and profitability decisions
  • Build financial models, dashboards, and SAP reporting tools that improve decision-making
  • Evaluate capital investments through ROI analysis and post-project financial audits
  • Deliver actionable insights on operational performance, profitability, and manufacturing efficiency

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required

Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in operations finance, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or FP&A within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting engineered-to-order, industrial manufacturing, or custom product operations preferred
  • Experience in commercial HVAC, industrial manufacturing, or engineered products
  • Knowledge of capital investment analysis and operational performance metrics
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment
  • SAP ERP experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Experience with financial reporting tools, dashboards, and operational analytics
  • Manufacturing cost accounting and variance analysis
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Inventory accounting and work-in-process (WIP) analysis
  • Financial modeling and profitability analysis
  • ERP data management and operational reporting
  • Cross-functional collaboration with operations, engineering, and sales teams

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program.
