Summary
The Facilities Coordinator (FC) is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of facilities, including server room, and building systems. The FC works closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure safe, reliable facility operations and provides professional support to client. The FC coordinates with vendors and service providers to maintain facility systems and responds to day-to-day operational needs.
Responsibilities
Assist the site lead in managing the operation and maintenance of building infrastructure, equipment, and systems including server rooms
Assist the Facilities Manager in coordinating facility operations staff to accomplish day-to-day operations while minimizing risks for building occupants
Manage and monitor power and cooling capacity and environmental conditions within the server rooms
On call 24x7 to respond to all critical emergencies
Resolve all electrical, mechanical and Fire Protection System issues in the server room while minimizing risk and communicate issues to management and customers
Manage the customer relationship and act as a primary point-of-contact for all facility-related issues, including, but not limited to schedules, new business, projects, budgets and expansion and staffing
Manage the onboarding of new customers by working closely with the teams to ensure a seamless transition to operations with a goal of 100% compliance with all standards, policies, and lease expectations
Plan and schedule all preventative maintenance (PM)
Support tracking and management of facility assets and equipment lifecycle
Develop PM contract scopes-of-work, negotiate contract terms and conditions, and ensure contract terms are fulfilled
Review results and manage oversight from PM inspections, providing guidance on how to address issues

Assist as requested with the development and enforcement of Data Center standards and policies
Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and reviewing work handled by outside contractors and vendors
Assist with managing client relationship and growing the business at assigned site
Assist and plan with clients on facilities issues and resolutions
Manage access to the server rooms, ensuring that the appropriate access control lists are maintained and reviewed regularly
Assist the Director in managing site safety and environmental compliance
Assist the Director in performing resource planning, cost estimation, and budget development
Assist in managing the facilities budget
Manage special projects as assigned
Adhere to all federal and local safety laws
Evaluate health and safety practice and procedures for risk assessment and following legal and corporate guidelines.
Lead to contact with suppliers and negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
Develop and implement a procurement strategy to monitor and maintain key supplier/vendor metrics and KPIs to measure supplier performance, lead-time, cost performance, productivity, and quality.
Lead emergency action and response planning
Collaborate with all functional business units to develop and maintain BCP program that addresses business recovery and emergency response management.
Education and Equivalent Experience
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university in a major relevant field of study or equivalent, preferred
Engineering experience, preferred
Related Certification, Preferred
