Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of specific tasks within projects, delivering high-quality outputs, particularly in the preparation and analysis of GHG inventories.
- Support other projects related to corporate carbon management, including but not limited to development of Net Zero plans and emission reduction targets by reviewing GHG emissions data and calculating targets.
- Support projects related to climate risks and ESG reporting and disclosure.
- Work closely with other consultants across different regions and service lines, supporting various aspects of the business and contributing to global projects.
- Efficiently deliver assigned tasks related to GHG accounting in accordance with the GHG Protocol, ISO 14064 and/or other GHG reporting standards
- Contribute to data analysis and development of models to quantify and interpret GHG emissions and other environmental metrics.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all GHG calculations and reports, maintaining a high standard of quality in GHG accounting and reporting.
- Assist in the development of reports according to existing standards and programs (GHG protocol, ISO 14064, TCR, CDP)
- Participate in the development and refinement of innovative processes and tools designed to collect, analyze, and visualize sustainability metrics.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance GHG accounting skills and other climate-related topics
- Learn to effectively communicate complex technical concepts and data insights to non- technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, mathematics, statistics, economics, data analytics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
- With 1 -2 years of experience in calculating and reporting Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, including accounting for supply chain emissions using different approaches, based on the GHG Protocol framework.
- Previous experience in sustainability related topics such as science-based target setting, life cycle assessments and climate risk, and understanding of different climate disclosure or sustainability reporting standards in corporate or consulting setting (e.g. TCFD, CSRD, SASB, CDP, DJSI, GRI, SBTi, Decarbonization) , optional but is an advantage.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge required. Skilled in synthesizing and analyzing quantitative data.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to learn quickly on the job
- Experience in Alteryx, PowerBI and other data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Experience in supporting supplier audits, environmental programs, and supplier capacity development is an advantage.
