Job Description
Purpose
Primary responsibility for this Business Development Manager Rigid Packaging is the management of our Rigid Packaging strategy, and development of key multilocation and large single site Rigid Packaging customers. Additional responsibility would be in support of strategic activity by the Business Managers related to supplier relations and overall financial governance of the assigned business. In addition the role would be responsible for the development and management of OEM and large multilocation molders
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Managing pipeline process sellers, customers, and strategic suppliers
Organizing and leading training sessions on new product rollouts or strategic focus areas
Joint travel with supplier partners to develop target accounts and improve supplier relations
Assisting the Business Managers in developing an overall business strategy and plan
Drive growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Providing target market intelligence to the sales team and Business Managers specific to the Rigid Packaging market.
Essential Tasks:
Assisting field sales in identifying and closing target opportunities which will generate organic volume growth; this includes travel to participate in customer meetings
Working with the Business Managers and Technical Service to match products and suppliers with sales opportunities
Coordinating technical service in support of new business
Updating CRM tools to ensure pipeline is robust and sustainable
Using target information to build a business plan for sales in each sales territory
Responsible for the development and growth of the portfolio
Assist with growing branded business with CPA
Work with CPA Business Development Manager’s to increase product exposure
Funnel all opportunities to appropriate distribution team
Develop jointly with marketing team all marketing efforts, tradeshow activities, etc for your defined market.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
Education:
Bachelors degree or related training. Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience:
Proven experience with 5+ years of experience in selling, brand management and strategy development in polymers preferred
Licenses / Certifications:
Valid driver’s license – required
Language:
Proficiency in English required
Bi-Lingual – Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).
