Job Description
Location - office based in Surry Hills (3 days) and work from home (2 days)
Permanent Full time role Monday to Friday – 9am-5pm or 9:30am-5:30pm
$40.15 per hour plus superannuation
Up to $18,550 tax free with not for profit salary packaging

We are looking for a highly motivated Roster Officer to join our extremely busy Home & Community Services scheduling team based in Surry Hills.
Day to day this role looks like:
Coordinating daily rosters by prioritising services based on timing, service type and operational requirements
Managing planned and unplanned leave, training and meetings within rosters to ensure service continuity and timely coverage
Matching clients and services with appropriately skilled care workers while meeting service alerts, availability requirements and Enterprise Agreement obligations
Optimising rosters to improve productivity, reduce travel time and gaps, support utilisation targets and minimise brokerage costs
Maintaining accurate scheduling data, travel time, breaks and working hours in line with business rules, service standards and 14-day roster timeframes
Communicating clearly and promptly with clients, representatives and internal stakeholders about service changes, documenting all interactions and escalating issues where needed
Working collaboratively across regions to support service delivery, sharing information, building strong relationships and assisting during periods of planned or unplanned leave
Ensuring compliance with safety, privacy, legislative and Catholic Healthcare policy requirements, including incident reporting, confidentiality and completion of mandatory training
To be successful in this role you’ll need:
Ability to manage and prioritise workload in a busy, high-volume environment
An enthusiastic "Can Do" attitude
Ability to identify issues, assist in solving them and adapt to changing circumstances
A passion to deliver quality customer service
Extensive Administration skills such as data entry & documentation, handling incidents & complaints, email & phone management
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills
Computer literacy with PC based applications (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database)
Ability to work independently, as part of a busy dedicated team
Aptitude for planning, organising and complex problem solving
