Overview Our Michigan team is looking for a Hybrid Broker Placement Executive, where you will play a key role in shaping the future of our business. You will work closely with insurers and producers to develop strategic plans for placing business, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Your efforts will drive growth by marketing key placements, developing innovative products, and building strong relationships with insurers. You will also support producers in securing new business and collaborate with our claims team to advocate for clients during claims settlements. How you'll make an impact Application and Current Policy Review: Perform thorough reviews and analyses of expiring coverage information, including coverage terms, limits, loss history, and exposures. Identify coverage gaps and new coverage opportunities to present to senior broker team members. Submissions: Prepare and submit insurance applications and/or spreadsheets to appropriate carriers for quotes and respond to inquiries. Gather loss reports, historical exposures, and other necessary information for submission documentation. Tailor submissions to qualified carriers based on their appetites, developing customized insurance solutions by analyzing various policy options and coverage limits. Collaborate with underwriters to analyze client risks, secure optimal coverage, answer underwriting questions, and update exposures to ensure appropriate insurance coverage. May work with senior resources on complex underwriting issues. Ensure seamless information flow between Gallagher and carriers, keeping all submissions on track. Quote Review and Negotiations: Analyze quotes for accuracy and completeness and follow up with underwriters/carriers for any questions, clarifications, or requested changes to quote coverage terms, program outlines, and pricing. Negotiate premiums, coverages, terms, and conditions to achieve the best outcomes for the customer, in accordance with carrier delegated underwriting capacity and appetite. Look for ways to increase revenue through upsell opportunities. Prepare Recommendations & Marketing Deliverables: Gather and finalize marketing efforts to create proposal deliverables, including marketing summary, coverage comparison, ensuring for accuracy and developing a recommendation for the team/producer. Carrier/Underwriting Relationships: Engage with panel insurance carriers, underwriters, and other marketing personnel to develop business relationships, determine carrier interest in various classes of business, and gain comprehensive knowledge of their markets. Sets up carrier meetings & attends carrier information meetings. About You A minimum of 3 years of Commercial/P&C broker experience in the marketplace (Open to all industries, but Construction, Contractors and Captives would be a plus!) Existing, successful relationships with a number of insurers Experience leading presentations internally as well as externally to clients and carrier partners A license essential to provincial licensing jurisdictions, along with management of continuing education hours The ability to explain complex issues in simple terms and connect with clients and colleagues effectively A solution-oriented mindset with a knack for developing resourceful and innovative approaches Familiarity with insurance document management software (EPIC) is a plus Completion of post-secondary degrees or insurance designations is nice to have Ability to work in any of our Michigan offices in a Hybrid working format (any Gallagher Michigan location, Grand Rapids location preferred) #LI-ES3 #LI-Hybrid #ID2026-54959 Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position.
