Summary
Delta Star is looking for a knowledgeable and safety-focused Process Trainer to help develop the next generation of skilled employees. As a Process Trainer, you’ll serve as a subject matter expert in your field, leading both classroom and hands-on training sessions to ensure participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to perform their roles with confidence. If you have a passion for teaching, mentoring, and reinforcing high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Do
As a Process Trainer, you’ll design and deliver engaging training experiences, holding participants accountable to safety and performance standards. You’ll provide consistent feedback, maintain accurate training records, and reinforce the cultural values of Delta Star on the plant floor and in the classroom. You’ll also ensure that manufacturing processes and procedures are taught clearly and consistently, giving participants the foundation to succeed in their roles.
A Day in the Life
Your day might begin by leading a small group through classroom instruction on the function and operation of power transformers. Later, you’ll transition to hands-on training on the plant floor, monitoring participants as they practice manufacturing procedures. You’ll give real-time feedback, document training progress, and ensure that every participant is adhering to safety protocols. Throughout the day, you’ll act as a mentor, reinforcing Delta Star’s values of safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert who is ready to step into a training role. You should be confident in your technical knowledge, passionate about developing others, and able to create a safe and engaging learning environment. Strong communication skills, patience, and a team-first mindset are essential.
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED required
Must have 3+ years of transformer manufacturing experience in winding or assembly.
Previous experience mentoring, coaching, or training others preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Comfortable leading training with minimal supervision
