Summary Delta Star Inc. is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support multiple engineering teams and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing, design, maintenance, and technical operations. What You'll Do As an Engineering Intern, you’ll assist with design, analysis, documentation, and troubleshooting activities. You’ll support process improvements, help prepare technical materials, and collaborate with engineers to develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency. A Day in the Life Your day will involve collecting and analyzing data, updating technical drawings, and assisting with assembly and maintenance tasks. You’ll participate in testing and validation, document findings, and present results to supervisors—all while learning the fundamentals of engineering in a practical setting. Specific Duties Collect and analyze data to support engineering decisions. Assist in creating or updating technical drawings, schematics, and documentation. Support manufacturing and assembly processes by preparing materials, tools, or instructions. Participate in equipment maintenance activities and reliability improvement projects. Collaborate with engineers to develop solutions for production challenges. Perform basic calculations and measurements as required for projects. Assist in testing, inspection, and validation of components or systems. Document findings, prepare reports, and present results to supervisors or project leads. What We're Looking For We’re seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic student with a strong interest in engineering and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment. Position Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices. Previous internship or hands-on experience in a technical environment preferred but not required. Must live or be willing to relocate within a safe, reasonable commute to the assigned location. Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer for U.S.-based positions. Skills & Competencies Familiarity with engineering tools, software, and measurement instruments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic CAD software experience preferred. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of assigned tasks. Quality of documentation and reporting. Contribution to process improvement initiatives. Engagement and collaboration with engineering teams.
