Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is top priority. FOAA is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support our Accounting team.
The Accounting Analyst in this position will be responsible of month end closing activities for multiple accounts, preparation of monthly/quarterly/annually reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis. This position will be key in the support to Accounting Leadership in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies. On controllership front, the Accounting Analyst will ensure all processes are compliance respective Accounting Standards. This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within departments to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.
The successful candidate will have a strong desire to innovate processes and exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
Complete Month-End-Close and Quarter-End-Close activities on time and in compliance to Amazon's high standards.
Prepare Local accounting reporting for central accounting and tax teams
Support and/or lead small accounting-related projects to enable controllership and efficiency.
Leverage AI, accounting systems and process improvements to optimize workflows and yield efficiencies.

- 3+ years of transactional accounting field experience
- Bachelor's degree or above in accounting or related field
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions, or experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
- Knowledge of advanced English at CEFR level B2/C1
- Knowledge of Excel
- 1+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Essbase and Oracle Financial Applications
- Experience implementing process improvements
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience in oral and written communication
- Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
