
Survey Field Technician | Nashua, NH
Job Description
IMEG is hiring a Survey Field Technician in Nashua, NH, to support land surveying field projects through accurate field data collection and survey assistance. In this role, you will work under the leadership of a Crew Chief, Senior Crew Chief, or Office Coordinator, applying survey principles, methods, and techniques across assigned projects.
Principal Responsibilities
- Collect field data for land surveys, including boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work
- Support day-to-day field operations on assigned survey projects
- Operate, maintain, and handle survey equipment, data collection tools, and other geodetic and reality capture equipment
- Set points on construction stakeout projects
- Perform quality checks using assigned survey equipment
- Download project data
- Maintain professional and productive working relationships with clients and coworkers
- Operate a company vehicle and observe safety and security procedures
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Associates degree, or certificate, in Land Surveying or Engineering preferred
- 1 year of experience minimum required, 2 preferred, in the land surveying or construction industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret operating procedures, safety documents, and maintenance instructions
- Ability to read surveys and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of modern survey equipment, devices, and methods
- Problem-solving techniques
- Ability to work independently as well as proactively collaborate as part of a team
- Possesses basic oral and written communication skills
- Ability to professionally represent IMEG
- Valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier; must consent to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
- Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays
