Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced IT Engineer to join our team in Finland. In this role, you will act as a strategic technology partner for local and global business units, driving digital transformation, managing and maintaining the enterprise systems, and ensuring IT operations run smoothly across all company areas. You will be part of a dynamic, international team and play a key role in bridging technology and business in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Systems & Business Process
- Understand, map, and continuously improve business processes in Lean ERP System (Roima) and ATON PDM.
- Provide IT support across Manufacturing, Commercial, and Supply Chain functions.
- Plan and manage delivery schedules for Lean System demands and application projects.
- Gather and document business requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
- Perform day-to-day system administration, maintenance, and user support for ERP and PDM systems.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, user incidents, and data inconsistencies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Monitor system performance, ensure data integrity, and proactively address potential issues to maintain business continuity.
- Manage system updates, configurations, and minor enhancements according to change management practices.
Project & Development Management
- Collaborate with architecture and development teams (software and infrastructure) on technical solution design.
- Monitor and coordinate internal and external development teams to ensure delivery quality and timelines.
- Design and execute test cases; perform internal IT testing and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor go-live activities for new systems and functionalities.
- Lead end-to-end project management for IT initiatives, from scoping to post-implementation support.
Digital Transformation & Strategy
- Act as a trusted technology partner, contributing to the definition of the local technology roadmap.
- Align locally defined solution roadmaps with the global IT strategy and corporate standards.
- Identify business opportunities and build business cases to transform requests into approved projects.
- Champion digital transformation across all company areas, promoting the adoption of optimized, automated, and digitized processes.
IT Operations & Governance
- Maintain, support, update, and evolve Beontag's IT systems in line with Corporate Global IT Team guidelines.
- Manage system user access, including user creation, access control, and risk matrix governance.
- Oversee IT outsourcing relationships and supplier management, including contract administration and payment control.
- Support and lead IT deliveries in other business units located in different countries (e.g., China).
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Languages
- Fluency in both Finnish and English is mandatory (written and spoken).
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP systems — knowledge of Lean System (Roima) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization / business intelligence tools.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and security best practices.
Professional Skills
- Minimum 3 years working experience with applicable IT systems
- Strong project management skills; experience with Agile or hybrid methodologies preferred.
- Ability to elaborate and present Business Cases to senior stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent influencing and communication skills — able to challenge the status quo constructively.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to bring alternative perspectives and drive continuous improvement.
