- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain and optimize electrical systems to ensure equipment efficiency.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical motors, VFDs and Soft Starts and PLC systems.
- Install and commission electrical components (motor starters, conduit runs and Motor Control Centers).
- Understanding Ethernet communication and wiring standards.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from operations.
- Education Required: Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or an equivalent apprenticeship
- Years of Experience Preferred:
- 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Familiarity with PLCs and VFDs is an asset
- Willingness to work a rotating shift, including weekends with the opportunity of a fixed day or night shift
- Previous sawmill experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
