Job Description
The AENB Strategic Planning Team owns strategic planning process for AENB and focuses on enabling American Express to build products and services that are both innovative and compliant with banking regulations as well as established policies and standards.
The AENB Strategic Planning Team is looking for a Manager, Strategic Planning that will be responsible for developing the AENB Strategic Plan annually, ongoing monitoring of performance against the Plan. They will need to work efficiently and effectively across multiple frontline business units, have strong project management skills, and a strategic and regulatory mindset.
Ensure all products and growth initiatives meet our customer commitments, bank policies, and regulatory requirements and ensure escalation to Bank Committees and Board of Directors, as appropriate.
Execute a comprehensive roadmap across various business units and staff groups inclusive of all tasks needed to complete the strategic planning process.
Identify potential risks and issues, monitor and report on the status of tasks and milestones, provide timely updates to leadership on progress, challenges, and resolutions across projects.
Coordinate/develop robust presentations for key internal and external audiences.
Support internal coordination of key audits and examinations and ensure all requests are addressed in a timely manner with inputs from all related stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners.
Execute and support the risk reporting that enables the Bank to assess where strategy execution may be amplifying risk.
4+ year proven experience relevant to this role.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Exceptional project management skills including the ability to clearly advise on progress, roadblocks, and successfully drive project progress with superior organizational & follow through of open items.
Experience in regulatory, risk management, compliance, and audit.
Strong learning agility and ability to work across business partners in productive and efficient manner.
Strong communication skills including being able to distill complex concepts and/or efforts in a concise yet comprehensive manner.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to build strong relationships with all band levels and work effectively in a collaborative, multi-cultural, team environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple work streams under time constraints, respond quickly, manage deadlines, and manage changing priorities in a dynamic and very demanding environment while leading with limited direct authority
Impeccable integrity with the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Proficient in SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
