Job Description
MOL Group is looking for a Senior Reservoir Engineer with strong expertise in reservoir development and underground gas storage (UGS) to join our Subsurface team.

In this role, you will drive reservoir engineering activities across assets, delivering development and optimization proposals that create tangible value. You will play a key part in well test analysis, dynamic modelling, and production forecasting, supporting both oil & gas fields and UGS operations.
Key responsibilities
Drive reservoir engineering studies and subsurface evaluations across assets
Plan, coordinate and interpret well tests (PTA & RTA)
Develop and maintain 3D dynamic reservoir models, including UGS systems
Perform advanced reservoir analysis using:
o well test interpretation
o reservoir simulation
o material balance
o decline curve analysis
o integrated network modelling
Generate field development and optimization proposals
(e.g. infill drilling, workovers, interventions)Support production forecasting and performance monitoring for active and idle assets
Deliver documentation and technical reports
(well test reports, FDPs, reserves/resources, internal reviews)Represent reservoir engineering in multidisciplinary project teams
Collaborate closely with drilling, production, and facilities teams
Your profile
- MSc/BSc in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience in reservoir engineering
- Strong experience in:
- reservoir modelling & simulation
- well test engineering (PTA & RTA)
- production analysis & forecasting
- Proven experience with Underground Gas Storage (UGS)
- Solid understanding of:
- PVT
- SCAL
- Confident user of industry software such as:
- Kappa / PanSystem
- Eclipse
- tNavigator
- Familiarity with SPE-PRMS standards
- Ability to work independently and deliver end-to-end studies
- Strong communication skills in English (written & spoken)
- Team player mindset with proactive stakeholder engagement
Nice to have
- Experience in:
- well completions / stimulation
- artificial lift
- surface facilities
- Hungarian language skills
- Experience leading or coordinating small project teams
