We fill our intern opportunities with students who are committed to the specialty to which they are being hired.

Seeking senior nursing students (May 2027 grads only) who are passionate about the pediatric cardiac specialty and intend to pursue an RN promotion in our Cardiac PICU.

Cardiac Pediatric Critical Care- W3

The Cardiac Pediatric Critical Care Unit is a 24-bed intensive care unit. Staff provides admission-to-discharge care for children with known cardiac anomalies requiring surgical or medical management.

The intern position requires one 12 hour night shift per week- must be able to commit to this schedule while in school. It is a casual position that does not include benefits.

Prefer candidates with hospital cna or tech experience.

Targeting start date of August 31st or September 14, 2026.

If hired as NEW hire, MUST attend a New Team Member Welcome session on start date. (Mondays) If you have classes or clinicals on Mondays, you'll need to make alternate arrangements with your faculty in order to attend the New Hire Welcome session.

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs nursing tasks for which he/she has been trained and has demonstrated competency through a skills checklist. Senior level status in any nursing program required. Ability to communicate and understand detailed instructions relating to basic patient care and transport. Must be able to work and stand for long periods, as well as lift and position patients weighing up to 75 pounds.
