Job Description
We’re seeking a skilled Painter with hands-on experience delivering high-quality finishes across automotive, display, and custom fabrication projects. Our work spans experiential fabrication, brand activations, scenic builds, themed environments, pop-ups, and custom installations, so versatility and attention to detail are key.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: Southgate, MI
- Compensation: $25/hour, plus health benefits and 401(k) with company match
Key Responsibilities
- Apply high-quality finishes across a variety of materials and project types
- Mix and match paints to meet precise color specifications
- Efficiently prime, prep, and mask components for painting
- Fill, sand, and refine surfaces using body fillers
- Prepare surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Collaborate with production teams to meet project timelines and deadlines
- Execute all steps of the refinishing process with consistency and care
- Support additional shop tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in automotive painting, display fabrication, or similar environments
- Experience with wood finishing is a plus
- Strong color-matching ability and eye for detail
- Proficiency with sanding techniques and spray equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physically able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship
