Hourly Rate: $33.06 (SC8LWESP25-26.pdf) This position is eligible for membership in the Lake Washington Educational Support Professionals

Job Summary:
All general administrative support positions are expected to perform common office procedures such as answering phones; providing information and customer service to students, employees and/or the community; word processing or data entry; and maintaining records while maintaining confidentiality. Although certain recurring tasks or responsibilities may be assigned to certain individuals within an office with multiple support positions, all employees in these positions are expected to contribute to keeping the office functioning effectively and efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review Special Education Evaluations and Transfers for Preschool-12, communicating with Psychologists and SLPs for clarification and corrections; back up facilitation of scheduling and coordination necessary to support student evaluations
- Review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students in grades preschool-age 22 providing feedback to teachers and assisting with corrections as needed.
- Manage and maintain special education student files, including physical file management and secure handling of records.
- Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate lists of students on 504 plans, processing related requests for student records or redactions.
- Respond to inquiries from teachers and 504 monitors regarding student plans, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate transportation requests for special education students and track Extended School Year (ESY) registrations, including ESY student transportation arrangements.
- Respond to emails and TEAMS messages daily.
- Provide record-keeping, filing, and reporting support
- Respond to daily requests for records, including redaction and collection from directors, parents, and agencies. Responsible for providing legal/public records.
- Manage and organize student records (physical and electronic), including filing, making labels, and pulling files for students who withdraw, graduate, or meet goals.
- Transfer inactive student records to the Inactives Warehouse, maintain records there, and prepare documents for destruction in compliance with OSPI guidelines.
- IEP Online first tier support and troubleshooting.
- Support the submission of high-cost safety net
- Requires learning IEP online and Skyward
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Performs work within established procedures and shares responsibilities across team functions. Focus is on reliable execution of compliance processes.
Per LWESP CBA Section 8.2: Thirty-minute lunch available on request.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years job related education and/or experience.
- Health care experience or interest preferred
