Job Summary
This role is a member of the Children's Wisconsin Primary Care Leadership team providing professional management for Urgent Care clinics. Responsible for leading clinical and business objectives to ensure high quality outcomes. Manages the activities and operations of all walk in Urgent Care clinic locations. Ensures high quality care delivery and exceptional customer experiences. Responsible for all aspects of operations, including service delivery, fiscal administration, allocation of human resources, patient experience, and assistance in the accomplishments of department outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Works collaboratively with the Urgent Care Director, Medical Directors, and Clinical Practice Leader to identify goals and improvement opportunities to ensure the best and safest care for children and families.
  • Manages the department’s nursing and front desk staffing plan assuring cost effective staffing that meets patient volume and acuity demands.
  • Develops and monitors department operational policy and procedures. Recommends, creates, and implements changes to policies, procedures, and processes needed to improve the operations of Urgent Care.
  • Ensures clinic compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements such as OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Practice Leader to ensure supplies, equipment, and procedures are in place for efficient flow and other patient care functions.
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of new services offerings including development of business plans and measures and monitors progress on goals.
  • Responsible for financial management of the clinics including budgeting, monitoring of expense and costs. Analyzes monthly financial reports and day to day operations for risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the Urgent Care Director on identifying opportunities for growth and sustainability of the clinics.
  • Collaborates with the Urgent Care Associate Medical Directors to lead patient experience initiatives across all clinics ensuring commitment to the Children’s WI experience promise.
  • Participates in system level improvement and developmental activities as requested
  • Performs people management responsibilities for employees which may include but are not limited to: employee engagement, recruitment, performance management and development

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration required
  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Nursing, or related field preferred

Experience

  • 5+ years of functional area experience required and
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting required. required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills necessary for assessment and management of patient, family, or staff concerns.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills required.
  • Prior experience and efficiency in an EHR and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understands the sensitive nature of information and communication within a health care setting and maintains and ensures the strictest level of confidentiality.
  • Understanding and demonstration of the use of data in decision-making and measurement within a continuous improvement framework.

Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/National Safety Council required
