Job Description
As a Lead Security Officer for Security, you will need to possess the following skills and abilities:
- Have a high level of skill in customer service with the ability to project a demeanor that is professional, positive, courteous, and helpful.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, be self-motivated and a self-starter, and be able to work well in a team environment.
- Detail oriented, focused, and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full comprehension and ability to perform all security officer duties
- Full comprehension of Emergency Action Plans/Emergency Response Plans (EAPs/ERPs)
Essential functions of this job include but are not limited to:
- Ability to actively manage incidents and personnel response.
- On-call 24/7 l to come in during active incidents as requested by Management
- Ability to learn and adapt to growing organizational needs
- Produce time-critical, technical reports to management outlining incidents and potential mitigation.
- Collaboration with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skillsets.
- Ensure completion of shift duties/tasks as they are assigned.
- Create and maintain documented operating procedures.
- Lead and complete investigations
- Data entry and team member scheduling as needed.
- Assist in covering officer PTO & call outs as needed.
- On-board new officers & assist in their continued growth within the security department.
- Perform physical security activities, site patrols, trailer temperature checks, safety audits and investigations.
- Operate an access control system, conduct surveillance tours, operate a switchboard and work with a vehicle management system.
- Collect, compile, and compose information for security reports that are organized, accurate and concise.
- Perform random workplace searches to enforce food safety and security guidelines.
- Issue parking violation warnings and or citations to facilitate team member compliance.
- Attend training to learn new information &/or updated safety & security procedures such as First Aid, CPR, and AED.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft office applications for email, word documents and excel
- Perform post-accident and or random drugs screenings
- Conduct remote monitoring and provide support functions to satellite facilities
- Initiate and promote activities to foster security awareness within the organization as outline by the Manager of Security
- Carry out any other relevant duties as directed by the Security Supervisor or Manager.
