COMMUNITY MANAGER-IN-TRAINING
Reports To: Regional Manager Position
Overview:
This is a unique role where you can learn the ins-and-outs of one of the most important and highly demanding roles within the organization. You have a very important leadership role to play not only with existing staff members, but with the residents of our communities as well. You are expected to perform regular operational tasks such as collecting rent and loan payments, managing supplies and marketing materials, developing staff, and protecting all company assets. In addition to this, you are also the main advocate for the residents and will be the point person when it comes to resolving all complaints that come through your office. You must be able to make executive decisions when it comes to financial success and the over-all safety and conditions of your community.
Essential Functions:
• Manage inventory, marketing and advertising plans
• Oversee sells of new, used and foreclosed homes
• Collect all rent and loan monies to meet company delinquency rate
• Maximize Community occupancy and leased home income
• Professionally resolve resident communications and concerns
• Provide hands-on leadership and management to all team-members
• Recruit, train and develop Staff
• Create and maintain a positive Community environment including resident activities
• Communicate and manage policies and procedures
• Create and ensure a safe work environment
• Protect and maintain Company assets
• Control expenses
• Maintain professional behavior which does not interfere with the individual’s work, the work of another Team Member, or the quality of life for Community Residents
• Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Duties subject to change, as deemed appropriate by Management
Required Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, independent and able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage staff performances
• Computer Skills including Microsoft Office software products
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience in property management
• A valid driver’s license is required
