About LEGO Education

LEGO® Education is a global learning business within the LEGO Group, dedicated to helping children develop the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. For more than 40 years, LEGO Education has partnered closely with educators to bring learning to life through playful, hands‑on experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and real‑world problem‑solving skills. [lego.com]

Founded in the early 1980s as the LEGO Institutional Department, LEGO Education was created with a simple but powerful belief: learning is most effective when it is active, engaging, and built through experience. Over time, the business evolved (formerly LEGO DACTA and the LEGO Educational Division) while staying anchored in this mission—designing solutions that align with curriculum standards and support teachers from early learning through secondary education.

Today, LEGO Education serves educators and students in over 90 countries, combining physical LEGO® bricks, digital tools, and high‑quality classroom-ready lessons to support learning in science, engineering, technology, and computer science. The focus is on developing foundational skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and resilience—skills that matter well beyond the classroom.

Recent Product Innovation

In 2025, LEGO Education launched LEGO Education Science, a major new learning solution designed to reimagine hands‑on science for students aged approximately 5–14. The solution includes 120+ curriculum‑aligned science lessons, teacher materials, and hands‑on kits that help students explore real‑world scientific concepts through investigation, building, and collaboration. The launch marked a significant expansion of LEGO Education’s science offering, with a strong emphasis on engagement, inclusion, and confidence‑building in STEM subjects. [lego.com][brickfanatics.com]

Building on this momentum, in 2026 LEGO Education introduced LEGO Education Computer Science & AI, a next‑generation learning solution designed to help schools teach computer science and artificial intelligence in an accessible, responsible, and hands‑on way. Developed for K‑8 learners, the solution supports collaborative learning and moves away from isolated, screen‑based instruction—reflecting LEGO Education’s belief that students learn best when they build, explore, and code together. The launch also represents a strategic evolution of the product portfolio, following the planned retirement of the SPIKE™ range.
