Job Description
Seaman Corporation is a manufacturer of high-quality industrial coated fabrics, based in Northeast Ohio for over 75 years. Our manufacturing facility promotes a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, and we celebrate our team-based approach. Manufacturing is the core of our business.
As of March 1, 2026, our Wooster facility has transitioned to a 24/7 rotation with a 4:3, 12-hour shift rotation schedule. Must be able to work within that schedule.
We are currently looking for Final Inspectors on C Shift, 7pm to 7am. Some responsibilities for the role include:
Promoting safety by following procedures and practices
Ensuring standard procedures are followed in the Final Inspection process; verifying that all packaging materials and specifications are available and in place prior to shift start-up.
Setting up and operating machines to inspect both sides of finished fabric for defects as it moves over the lighted area of machine, preparing and attaching labels, packaging in appropriate plastic overwrap, building and securing rolls to skids
Preparing samples for Quality Control testing; maintaining records and identification for all material inspected
Effectively using computer to review work order requirements, entering acceptable yardage, recording hours, and logging defects

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma/GED required
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Some computer skills preferred
