Grounds Maintenance Operative Temporary Contract* £13.69 per hour PAYE Immediate Start Closing Date: Monday 8th June 2026 Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Uttlesford District Council in recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a temporary basis. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will join a dedicated team in maintaining and improving public spaces and scenery in the Borough. Your responsibilities will be but not limited to – Grass Cutting Hedge Trimming Litter Picking Edging and Spraying Following Health Safety policies The essential experience you will bring – A good level of English, reading and writing Full, UK Licence with experience in driving a 3.5t vehicle Desirable Experience: Working in outside spaces Chemical applications Working with horticultural tools such as; chain saws and ride-on mowers A good level of English, reading and writing Full, UK Licence with experience in driving a 3.5t vehicle Full training and the opportunity for further learning will be provided for the right candidate.
