Assistant Manager/Manager, Asia Derivatives Services
Job Description
This role supports the derivatives trade support operations function within Global Wealth & Asset Management in Manulife, with responsibility across both Cleared/OTC derivatives activities.
The role covers day‑to‑day trade lifecycle processing while also contributing to projects, process improvements and system enhancements. This position offers broad exposure across derivatives operations, collateral management and regulatory reporting.
Position Responsibilities:
Derivatives Trade Support Operations
Perform timely and accurate processing of trade life cycle events for Cleared/OTC derivatives
Support reconciliations and related control activities
Understand and support regulatory reporting relating to derivatives and collateral
Assist with audit, regulatory and internal control reviews
Project & Process Improvement
Support initiates driven by business requests, regulatory change or operational enhancement
Support workflow improvements, automation opportunities and system enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in Investment Operations and/or Derivatives Operations
Strong knowledge of derivative trade lifecycle processing
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams and stakeholders
Preferred but not mandatory:
Hands-on experience with Aladdin and/or Findur system.
VBA or other data/automation skills.
