Reports To: Assistant Superintendent - Administrative Services
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
- To handle the secretarial duties involved with Administrative Services on a daily basis in a confidential manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of basic computer and keyboarding skills
- Bilingual preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Prior secretarial experience at a school or administration level
- Basic knowledge of school district operation
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Answer telephones, respond to inquiries or route calls to appropriate person.
- Demonstrate effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Enter data in Skyward, Eduphoria, DocuShare, Munis, and Google applications
- Work well with others, exhibit exceptional diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality
- Maintain filing system for all types of correspondence, reports, etc.
- Support the needs of Counseling, Health Services, and Executive Directors.
- Assist with student enrollment
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- None
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
- Writing routine reports and correspondence
- Interacting with the public and other staff and occasionally meeting multiple demands from several people
- Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
Physical demands/environmental factors:
- Continuous typing
- Reaching with hands and arms and frequently repeating the same hand, arm or finger motion.
- Lifting/moving up to 10 pounds such as supplies of copier paper.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
