Job Description: The Process and Quality Engineer is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for and deliver results in the Delrin® Global Manufacturing organization. This role serves as the primary technical and quality bridge between the Delrin global organization and one of our tolling plants in Asia. As the resident technical expert primarily on-site in Hangzhou, you will 'speak for Delrin,' ensuring that global process and quality standards are flawlessly executed. You will collaborate with a worldwide network of colleagues in the US and EU, while working daily with local functional teams (Planning, Logistics, Product Management, and Commercial) to align production with business needs. This role requires high adaptability and a willingness to travel to other sites across China to provide future technical support as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities: Process and technical Oversight to tolling plant Design and execute experiments for new grades and raw materials  localization and optimize process conditions to meet quality requirements at higher throughput. Establish standard operating conditions and standard operation procedures, periodically lead/ involve in the review of control plan and FMEA. Collect and study operating data and determine process capability to ensure that process is in statistical control. Continue to drive improvements in process metrics such as yield and OEE. Liaise with R&D and other sister plants on latest product and technological development. Investigate and evaluate new processes and equipment. Lead/involve new process technology’s application. Provide innovative and effective solutions to the process/quality problems. Assist with product development program and improved product quality and properties. Provide customer assistance to meet product and quality needs. Be key user of MFG & Quality SAP modules and connected Apps( Sample manager, Visitrak, ect) and provide training and support to tolling plant users. Quality Assurance to tolling plant Support tolling plant in Maintaining and monitoring quality management systems (ISO9001, IATF 16949,GMP, etc) to ensure total compliance and sustain certificates. Lead investigations into internal quality incidents or customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions Be responsible for raw material supplier management, lead the program or activity to improve overall performance of supplier. Develop and maintain product quality control plan and sampling plan Provide quality training to satisfy internal and external requirements Monitor the quality system effectiveness; identify problems related with product, process and quality system. Cooperate with manager to take correction and prevention actions, and validate the actions effectiveness; Transfer customer voice within organization, review and follow up customer requirements/specification periodically. Ensure compliance to product release specification, satisfying Delrin and customer quality requirements. Provide supports in lab related works such as lab equipment calibration, GLU program, etc. Global & Local Functional Collaboration Partner with colleagues in similar positions at sister plants to share technical insights and drive regional consistency. Work closely with local Planning, Logistics, Product Management, and Commercial teams to ensure production schedules and quality outputs meet market demands. Adapt to changes in job responsibilities or focus areas as dictated by organizational shifts or evolving business requirements. Provide dedicated on-site technical guidance in Hangzhou, with a requirement to travel to other sites across China to provide future technical/quality support.   Ideal Profile: Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above, with major in Chemical Engineering, Chemical, Polymer Materials and Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. A Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s combined with an MBA/MEM is preferred. Experience & Skills: 3~5 years of related experience as a production, process, or quality engineer in a thermoplastics manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in compounding equipment and instruments is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence internal and external resources. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, IATF16949) and Quality Tools (SPC, FMEA, MSA). Good verbal and written communication capability in English; Self-motivated team player with strong ownership, able to work effectively under pressure. Based in Hangzhou.
