Sales Engineer
Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
NuORDER is seeking an outstanding Sales Engineer to put our customer’s happiness as their top priority. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding a client’s back of house systems, assessing their technical needs and working with sales and development teams to exceed customer expectations.
Specifically…
- Contribute to and project manage NuORDER integrations between clients and back-of-house or third-party software.
- Work with all partner-facing engineer products, including the implementation of our products with key clients.
- Act as the technical point of contact for our existing and incoming customer base to further business objectives.
- Communicate technical requirements, constraints, functionality, and implementation details verbally and in formal documentation.
- Help customize, implement and test integrations between NuOrder and back of house systems (Inventory Management Systems, ERPS, PLM’s) along with setting up FTP sites and working with APIs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS/PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- EDUCATION: BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of proven technical leadership skills for supporting sales, project management, and pre-sales staff.
- Can develop solutions to unusually complex problems that require a high degree of creativity, innovation, and ingenuity.
- Hands on and deep understanding of the retail and wholesale environment.
- Strong working knowledge and experience in integrating systems through flat file, API & EDI.
- Innate grasp of field mapping and how to mesh data.
- Experience in building or using middle-ware or data manipulation scripts.
- Ability to build and modify schemas.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff, senior management, and customers. Ensure that all communication is proactively maintained and at the proper level of all respective parties.
- Proven ability to manage projects with little supervision and successfully meet deadlines.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Passion for helping customers achieve their business goals through successful technical implementation.
- Ability to be quick on their feet and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
