Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibilities & Deliverables:** 

- Provide leadership to position EssilorLuxottica at the forefront of the industry; develop and contribute to strategic plans to advance EssilorLuxottica's Mission and objectives, promoting customer delight through high standards of service and product quality, profitable growth, and ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effectiveness in managing production and operational assets. 

- Act as an entrepreneurial and transformational leader, taking fact-based decisions and encouraging innovation amidst challenges and competition. 

- Co-develop and implement Region's operating roadmap to execute the Group's strategy: 

  - Define operation model in accordance with market and business needs to ensure sustainable growth. 

  - Define production and supply chain strategies to support business ambitions. 

  - Build innovation and business transformation plans in partnership with Regional Operations and Region/Country Leadership Teams. 

  - Lead functional-wide operations initiatives to create value and challenge cost competitiveness. 

  - Build innovative operations and supply chain models to address improvement opportunities. 

  - Improve cost positioning, e.g., identify and implement cost synergies and continuous improvement opportunities. 

- Responsible for functional P&L and KPIs, including accountability for budgeting and forecasting processes. 

- Accountable for the overall execution of production, order fulfillment, new product introduction processes, inventory and supply chain management, and the satisfaction and long-term retention of EssilorLuxottica's customers. 

- Ensure sustainability of business operations with appropriate business mitigation plans and risk management strategies. 

- Encourage consistency, operational & service excellence, and a can-do spirit among the Region’s Operations leadership committee. 

- Play a key role in talent development and embracing diversity and inclusion within the operations function. 

- Act as the guardian of the overall reputation and image of EssilorLuxottica Group entities by ensuring compliance with legal regulations and fostering EssilorLuxottica principles and the EssilorLuxotticaLuxottica corporate Mission. 

- Foster alignment in values and principles in all areas of RX Operations. 

 

Transversal Responsibilities:

- All employees have a responsibility to contribute to the Group's sustainability and ensure that we can continue to fulfill our Mission of improving lives by improving sight. 

- All business decisions and actions must serve and align with the Group's sustainability goals and Mission. 

Knowledge / Experience:

- Divisional or BU Experience: Held key responsibilities in one or more of the following divisions/functions or at a full, defined BU (subsidiary) level: 

  - A sizable manufacturing organization 

  - A region's operations department/function with multiple production and distribution sites 

  - Operations including Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Procurement 

  - Transversal/Cross-functional/Cross-border projects management 

  - Business Transformation leadership 

Experience / Knowledge & Skills / Track Record:

- Desirable min 10 years of experience in leadership capability in a transversal role or specific regional operations role, preferably from relevant industries such as ophthalmic lens, medical devices, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or production. 

- Business Performance/Business Transformation management 

- Process management 

- Customer satisfaction management 

- B2B experience 

- P&L accountabilities/Costs management 

- OPEX and cost-effectiveness/management 

- Business planning 

- Business continuity planning 

- Continuous improvement 

- International exposures

**Management Experience:** 

- No less than 15 years of management experience with business KPIs and/or profit/cost objectives and accountabilities. 

**Qualifications / Skills Required:** 

- Degree in Business or related subjects such as Engineering; MBA or other Post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage. 

- English is a must. 

- Additional language abilities would be advantageous. 

- Strong Management and People Leadership traits. 

- High drive and energy. 

- Strong abilities to influence and connect with others, building trust and respect. 

- Innovative and Digital mindset. 

- Goal getter. 

- Likes working with structure while enjoying innovation and creativity, with resilience and capacity to manage ambiguity, uncertainty, and complexities.
