Entry Data Engineer for AFI Analytics - Viby

“You will sit close to business stakeholders across functions and sites to understand priorities and translate them into reliable analytics solutions,” says Peter Novak, Senior Manager, Data & Analytics in AFI.

How you will make an impact.

As an entry Data Engineer, you will contribute to defining and supporting analytics and BI solutions while developing your technical skills along the way. Collaboration with internal customers is important in this role, to understand and translate analytics and BI needs into simple, actionable tasks. You will work closely with experienced colleagues who will guide you as you learn to design, build and maintain cloud‑based data solutions including ETL pipelines using Azure PaaS tools, SQL and/or Python on a Spark‑based analytics platform. Your role will include hands‑on tasks as well as opportunities to explore, test and grow within the analytics domain.

Further, your responsibilities will involve

• Providing technical input and clarifying questions to architects and developers
• Performing data exploration and basic modelling to support data‑driven decision‑making
• Supporting cross‑domain planning, follow‑up and prioritization
• Facilitating overview, scope alignment and dependency handling
• Acting as a coordination point across Finance Analytics and AFI Analytics
• Maintaining transparency and structure in delivery tracking

We are looking for a proactive and curious Data Engineer who is passionate about data and eager to grow. You enjoy learning new technologies, working closely with others, and communicating clearly with both technical and business stakeholders.

We imagine that you bring

• A fundamental understanding of cloud‑based analytics platforms — experience with Microsoft Azure or similar is an advantage, not a requirement
• Some experience (from studies, projects, internships or student jobs) working with ETL processes or data transformations
• Familiarity with Python, PySpark or SQL — and motivation to develop your skills further
• Interest in working with both structured and unstructured data
• A learning mindset, ownership of your work and a collaborative attitude
• Curiosity or motivation to learn light Delivery Lead responsibilities during 2026 — supported by experienced colleagues
