Job Description

Nexperia UK is expanding our team of Night Shift Production Assistants, working 7pm–7am on a 4‑on, 4‑off shift pattern. This is a permanent role offering a clear career development pathway and a starting salary of £39,684 per annum (inclusive of night shift allowance).

Hiring Process

  • Initial telephone screening call – week commencing 29.06.26
  • Assessment Day – including an introduction to Nexperia, practical exercises, and a short interview (held on 10.07.26)
  • Occupational Health appointment for successful candidates held on 14.07.2026
  • Start dates for successful candidates will begin from 27.07.2026 onwards

What Our Production Assistants Do

As a Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in the high‑volume manufacturing of semiconductor devices within our advanced wafer fabrication facility. Working in a cleanroom environment, you will follow written instructions to operate sophisticated equipment used to produce the silicon chips found in everyday products such as smartphones, home appliances, wearables, and electric vehicles.

With full training, you will:

  • Complete daily tasks with the support of your Team Leader
  • Learn to operate high‑tech manufacturing equipment and achieve required wafer output
  • Follow production change procedures and adhere to all cleanroom and safety practices
  • Complete documentation and enter transactions into the Factory Works system

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Methodical thinking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent time management and reliability
  • Comfortable working 12‑hour night shifts and wearing cleanroom PPE

Beneficial Experience

  • Previous experience in a production or factory environment
  • Cleanroom experience
  • Mechanical or technical experience with machines or tools
