Job Description
The Medical Assistant will greet individuals in a warm, compassionate, and hopeful manner. Responsibilities include completing Behavioral Health Urgent Care (BHUC) check-in procedures such as creating or updating patient charts, collecting insurance details, and entering information into the electronic medical record system. The Medical Assistant may also gather medical histories, record vital signs, and prepare individuals for services by explaining what to expect. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and working with individuals with co-occurring disorders. Flexibility in scheduling is also essential for this role as evenings and weekends may be needed.
