Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to lead the analysis and testing of suspect xEV units using all equipment and vehicles at USTLP1. This role is also responsible for reporting analysis findings as requested and for coordination of analysis investigation with cross-functional departments to contain outflow and implement countermeasures. Advanced problem-solving techniques such as FTA and DOE shall be employed along with recreation testing and parts swapping to drive analysis investigation to root cause.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mech, Elec.) or other relevant field
- Demonstrated aptitude for complex problem solving and application of testing methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
- Minimum 3 years of experience with vehicle testing/troubleshooting
- Knowledge and experience with vehicle data collection (INCA, ETAS, CANape, Vector, etc)
Software Qualifications:
- Basic experience required in Windows, MS Office, and Microsoft Teams.
- Data collection systems experience (INCA, ETAS, CANApe, LMS, etc)
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily Activities
- Analyze daily warranty claim data from system
- Lead complex investigations on returned product across functional areas
- Coordinate daily work for Market Quality Staff (manage priority items)
- Support swap testing analysis on xEV components
- Collect and analyze data from vehicle data collection systems
- Collect and analyze data from component test devices
- Coordinate with cross functional departments for recreation testing and investigation; develop and conduct hypothesis testing of suspect failure causes
Conduct joint analysis with customers for analysis and testing of the vehicle as needed (by Teams and onsite as needed)
Travel for training and support

- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
