Description
Key Responsibilities
- Always maintains a visible profile and is available to graciously assist guests during food and beverage service.
- Always ensures proper setup and presentation of assigned service area in line with all Company standards.
- Always delivers food and beverages as requested, in a timely manner, in the correct service order, and following brand standards.
- Ensures service sequences are being followed during meal periods to include clearing and cleaning of tables according to brand standards.
- Provides a positive Lido dining experience to every guest by always applying the brand and Service Excellence standards.
- Embraces utilizes and promotes MedallionClass products services, and applications to personalize the guest experience.
- Demonstrates to every guest that his or her satisfaction is our top priority by immediately acknowledging every request, reporting issues immediately to leaders as appropriate, responding promptly and effectively to resolve any service request or concern, and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Always observes and identifies guests’ preferences utilizing the MedallionClass technology and adjusts service, accordingly, anticipating guests’ needs.
- Understand the setup, product, and service expectations of their respective area and immediately rectify any shortfalls that would have a negative impact on the guest experience.
- Consistently supports the efforts to exceed Restaurant-specific targets and other key metrics by adhering to the service excellence standards.
- Actively learns and is knowledgeable of onboard products and offerings, itinerary, and point information to aid guests as needed.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Minimum one year of Food and Beverage experience and attendance at a recognized hotel/catering school.
- Good knowledge of continental food and restaurant service standards.
- Good knowledge of international beverage products.
- Preferably candidates must have attended USPH or HACCP Sanitation Course and should have a solid knowledge of sanitation regulations pertaining to the individual’s area of work.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
- Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
- Conversational Japanese language skills.
- Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests.
- Motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities.
- Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
- Ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience.
- Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
