- Compensation: $16 to $20 per hour.
What You'll Do:
- Assist equipment operators, excavation managers, and skilled tradespeople to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Prepare, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment for transport to various worksites.
- Utilize pipe and grade lasers with proficiency to assist in precise excavation.
- Operate small power tools and hand tools (rakes, shovels, brooms) for various construction tasks.
- Set up and dismantle ladders, safety barriers, and temporary structures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site by securing tools and equipment daily.
- Participate in on-the-job training to expand your skills in plumbing and excavation.
What You Bring:
- Previous experience with machine operation (excavator, backhoe, or skid steer) is a plus.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; a Sewer Layer License is preferred.
- A commitment to understanding and adhering to all company safety requirements.
- A self-motivated attitude with a desire to learn the trade and grow within the company.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods throughout the day.
- The job requires regularly lifting and carrying heavy items, which can weigh up to 75 pounds or more.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. May work in extreme temperatures, including heat, cold, and humidity.
