Role Summary:
The Analyst, Credit Strategy supports the development, testing, and implementation of quantitative investment research, data utilization, and advanced analytical methodologies for proprietary investment and portfolio analytics models. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to take a hands-on role in researching credit versus equity relative value and translating those insights into investment tools by coding research models and implementing key findings. As part of this initiative, you will work cross-functionally across CPP Investments departments, including Credit Investments, OCIO – Integrated Solutions Group and Total Fund Management.Accountabilities & Qualifications:
Accountabilities
Contribute to the research and development of investment, cashflow, and portfolio analytics models, specifically related to credit vs. equity relative value
Support development of proprietary research methodologies through application of advanced analytical techniques
Works directly with Investment partners to develop, test, integrate, and implement solutions for transformational initiatives
Design and develop investment and portfolio analytics and visualizations
Partner with colleagues to design and implement new tools and analytics modules
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline
An advanced degree is an asset
Experience in solving problems through the combination of quantitative, analytical and/or programming skills
Expert Python programming skills, and knowledge of development processes and tools for Cloud-based financial applications. Exposure to other languages such as C++, Javascript or Rust is an asset.
Working knowledge of git/GitHub
Up to 3 years of relevant work experience
Strong research, analytical, financial modeling, valuation, problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
Solid verbal and written communication skills
