Principal Engineer I&C (m/f/d) Building Automation

We are seeking an experienced Principal I&C Engineer (m/f/d) to join our Building Automation team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-tech Data Center projects across Italy.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the planning and construction of highly automated high-tech facilities
• Clarify technical details in close collaboration with our clients during plant modifications or expansions and present our solutions
• Design and engineering of safety and security systems as well as building automation and building management systems for complex HVAC systems, including control, regulation, and monitoring systems within high-tech Data Center projects in all engineering project phases (concept, basic, detail engineering)
• Independent project management for varying project volumes and varied content
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and ensure the highest execution quality, as well as compliance with safety, health and environmental protection requirements
• Prepare detailed execution documents (e.g. drawings, functional descriptions, bill of quantities) for the procurement of installation and planning services and clarify any questions that arise during the execution phase
• Support of on-site implementation, commissioning activities, participation in project meetings, and acceptance procedures
• Accompany the installation of the respective measurement, control, and regulation as well as automation systems

Show your expertise

• Completed degree in Building Automation, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the design, implementation, or commissioning of building automation and security systems, as well as practical knowledge of common HVAC applications in project (preferably Data Center) environments
• Sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Fluent Italian and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Structured and self-reliant working style combined with strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel and undertake project-related assignments at the project location

The salary range for this position is between € 62,300 and € 74,100 gross per year (full-time). The exact salary will be determined within this range based on objective and transparent criteria, including role scope, qualifications, and relevant professional experience.
