In this role, you'll:

This is not a typical technology delivery role.

You will lead the delivery of technology initiatives that support live transport operations — working closely with operational teams across the business to solve real-world challenges and improve services on the network.

From enhancing reliability and efficiency, and implementing new technology, your work will directly impact how transport services and roads perform across NSW.

You’ll operate in a complex, fast-moving environment where operational realities, customer outcomes and delivery discipline all matter equally.

Project delivery will in one of the following technology portfolios - Maritime, Public Transport, Transport Management Centres and Operations and Major Program integration. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver technology projects that helps improve transport service performance, reliability, safety and customer experience.
• Partner closely with transport operations stakeholders to shape and prioritise initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional teams across technology, operations and delivery partners.
• Ensure solutions are practical, usable and sustainable in live operational environments.
• Embed outcomes into the business, supporting adoption, change and ongoing service delivery.
• Manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges in a complex, high-impact environment.

About you

We’re seeking experienced project managers who are motivated by real-world impact, not just system delivery.

You will bring:

• Experience delivering technology projects in operational or service environments (e.g. transport, infrastructure, utilities or similar).
• Strong ability to partner with business stakeholders and translate operational needs into solutions.
• A focus on outcomes over outputs — understanding what success looks like beyond delivery.
• Confidence working across both technical teams and frontline/operational environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to navigate complexity and competing priorities.
