Job Summary
Responsible for monitoring multiple medium to large-scale project activities, managing documentation, and facilitating communication among team members to ensure the successful execution of projects. Tracks and ensures that the schedule, budget, and details of project tasks are well-organized. Analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates to the project team. Identifies and escalates issues and risks and recommends solutions. Leads and provides guidance and support to other administrative team members.Does this position require Patient Care? No
Essential Functions
-Takes the lead in maintaining and monitoring multiple project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
-Organizes, attends, and participates in stakeholder meetings.
-Ensures projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
-Assesses and escalates project risks and issues, providing solutions.
-Conducts research, maintains and analyzes data in systems, and develops reports to support projects.
-Liaise with the project team and key stakeholders to help define project requirements, scope, and objectives that align with organizational goals.
-Assigns and monitors resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables.

The Kwon Laboratory at the Ragon Institute of Mass General Brigham, MIT, and Harvard is seeking a highly motivated full-time Project Coordinator to support translational clinical research studies and international research initiatives focused on women’s health, the vaginal microbiome, mucosal immunology, HIV susceptibility, and reproductive health outcomes.
The Project Coordinator will work closely with Dr. Doug Kwon (PI), Sarah Eisa (Senior Program Manager), Dr. Meilin Zhu (Staff Scientist), and a multidisciplinary team of collaborators to support a broad portfolio of clinical, translational, and international research initiatives focused on women’s health, the vaginal microbiome, mucosal immunology, and global health. Responsibilities will include coordinating translational clinical research projects related to novel microbiome-modifying therapeutics and live biotherapeutic products targeting the female reproductive tract, as well as supporting international collaborative programs in sub-Saharan Africa, including data science and research training initiatives for trainees and early-career investigators.
Responsibilities will include project coordination, regulatory support, team communication, data and sample tracking, coordination with international collaborators and research partners, project finance support, meeting and milestone management, and support of training and scientific exchange activities. The successful candidate will function as a central organizational hub for several interconnected projects spanning clinical research, translational science, and global health collaborations.
