What You’ll do
The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the MBHPC team reporting to the Finance Director. In this evolving role you will work closely with functional leadership to establish and refine capital expenditure strategy, while building processes to manage operating costs & budgets across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Performance: Oversee and optimize the financial performance of individual charging locations through trend analysis and P&L reporting.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and make recommendations based on site performance analysis to inform Consumer Offerings’ pricing strategy.
- Energy Cost Management: Manage energy costs effectively by collaborating with the Business Intelligence and Energy Management teams to analyze relevant data and optimize utility tariffs.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Produce models to project long-term cost management progress; analyze financial and operational results to draw meaningful insights to improve site performance
- Site Underwriting: Evaluate the economic viability of a proposed site using various standard and non-standard inputs to deploy EV charging infrastructure in strategic locations.
- Process Improvement: Review existing site performance management processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
What You’ll do
The Head of Marketing is a key member of the High Power Charging NA leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled professionals in driving our marketing and communication efforts to new heights, ensuring that our brand and products are positioned as leaders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and roadmap that positions Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging as a leading EV charging brand. Align the roadmap with Mercedes-Benz’s broader EV vision, market trends, and customer insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and Mercedes-Benz entities to ensure marketing strategies support business objectives.
Brand Development: Develop and manage the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging brand, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand identity across all marketing channels. Lead efforts to enhance brand recognition and awareness. Monitor brand performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve brand goals. Collaborate with other Mercedes-Benz entities to ensure brand cohesion and amplify brand reach and messaging.
Product Marketing: Oversee product marketing efforts, collaborating closely with Product & Tech as well as Consumer Offering teams. Drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new products, features, and sales efforts. Ensure that product messaging and positioning resonate with target audiences.
Digital and Traditional Marketing: Manage all aspects of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and online advertising. Oversee traditional marketing channels such as print, events, and sponsorships. Drive digital transformation initiatives to optimize marketing ROI. Collaborate with other Mercedes-Benz entities to leverage the larger Company’s existing marketing channels and initiatives to drive marketing reach and impact.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging Consumer Offering/Partnership teams to help create compelling, valuable, and brand congruent sales offerings. Support the sales team with appropriate sales collateral and marketing materials.
Communications and Community Engagement: Build and manage the Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging team’s public relations and communications strategy and roadmap, including brand narrative, core Company messaging, PR calendar, media outreach and relationships, key event schedule and other relevant speaking engagements. Help create a market leading message and positioning for the Company and relevant key leaders. Develop grass-roots community engagement programs that build brand-driver connection, affiliation, and satisfaction.
Data Analytics, Market Research, and Insights: Utilize data analytics and market insights to drive informed marketing decisions. Stay updated on industry trends and the competitive landscape. Lead efforts to gather customer feedback and conduct market research to enhance our offerings.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire a diverse and talented marketing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. Develop and mentor team members to achieve their full potential.
Budget, Resource Management, and ROI: Develop and manage budgets for marketing initiatives. Optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets. Ensure cost-effective marketing strategies and tactics. Develop metrics to demonstrate return on spend impacts for the overall business.
Partnerships and Collaboration: Identify strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance our marketing efforts and expand our market reach. Collaborate effectively with external partners, agencies and vendors. Represent organization in industry events and conferences.
Global Coordination: Collaborate effectively with the Global Charging Team based in Germany, as well as the US vehicles sales organization (MBUSA) to ensure alignment of marketing strategies, share best practices, and leverage global resources for brand development and initiatives. Drive action and accountability across functional groups and keep leadership updated on status of roadmap, critical issues, and recommendations to continuously improve.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is a plus
Proven track record of at least 10-15+ years in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the EV charging, automotive or related industries.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing market strategies that drive business impact.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data driven decision-making.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate industry trends and develop long-term marketing visions.
Passion for sustainability and advancing clean energy initiatives and advancing Mercedes-Benz through innovative marketing strategies.
Outstanding planning and organizational skills with a focus on customer centricity and operational excellence
