You will work closely with Project Managers, Sector Managers, Project Accountants, Marketing teams, and Business Development leaders to help keep major roadways, highway, and transportation infrastructure projects running efficiently and successfully.
This role offers exposure to high-profile transportation programs, fast-paced project environments, and mentorship from experienced industry leaders. For the right individual, this position can become a strong foundation for long-term advancement into Project Management, Operations, Project Controls, or Roads & Highways leadership roles.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Controls & Project Support (75–80%)
This role will primarily focus on supporting the operational and financial management of Roads & Highways projects, applying project management best practices across project controls, coordination, and delivery.
Responsibilities include:
Supporting Project Managers and Sector Managers with day-to-day coordination of Roads & Highways proposals and projects, ensuring alignment with established project management frameworks and best practices
Assisting in the tracking and management of project scope, budgets, schedules, and overall performance using structured project controls methodologies
Coordinating closely with Project Accountants to support invoicing, budget monitoring, forecasting, and accurate financial reporting
Maintaining well-organized and up-to-date project documentation, and records in accordance with industry and company standards
Monitoring project progress against key milestones and helping ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Supporting project setup, resource planning, workload tracking, and project closeout activities following standardized processes
Preparing project status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to provide clear visibility into project health and outcomes
Identifying potential risks, schedule delays, or budget variances and escalating issues proactively to support effective decision-making
Facilitating communication and coordination between technical teams, project leadership, operational support functions, and clients as required
Assisting Sector Management with portfolio-level tracking, including budget oversight, resource allocation, and performance monitoring
Contributing to internal reporting processes and supporting continuous improvement of project management practices and operational efficiencies
Maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail while managing multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
Business Development & Marketing Support (20–25%)
During lighter project periods, this role will also support business development and pursuit activities within the Roads and Highways sector.
Responsibilities may include:
Coordinating proposal development activities and submission schedules
Supporting proposal teams with formatting, document coordination, and marketing materials
Assisting Marketing and Pursuit Leads with proposal reviews and quality control
Coordinating resumes, project sheets, and pursuit documentation
Supporting internal business development tracking and opportunity coordination
Helping maintain consistency, organization, and responsiveness during active pursuits
What We’re Looking For
Strong organizational and coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting or project environment
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Comfortable working with project budgets, schedules, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
Experience supporting projects, operations, project controls, accounting coordination, or business operations is highly valued
Prior experience in engineering consulting, infrastructure, transportation, construction, architecture, or aviation environments is beneficial, but not required

Additional Information
TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of 58,000 - 85,000 for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
