Current CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification
HeartSaver AED
Education
Required: High School diploma or GED
Experience
Required: One year of CNA experience
Preferred:
Previous direct patient care experience
Previous experience in a hospital environment
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to continuously monitor multiple patients on one computer screen at one time.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients using a microphone and headset.
Ability to respond quickly to patient behavioral changes and communicate with hospital staff.
Ability to use discretion and courtesy when working with patients, family, visitors and staff.
Effective and efficient prioritization of work and/or multitask as needed by the situation.
Knowledgeable and supportive of patient and organizational confidentiality, privacy or other related policies.
Familiarity with computers and basic Microsoft Windows operating systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential
Monitors patient through surveillance camera on a remote computer screen for safety.
Able to set up new patients in database.
Discharges patient from sitter program in database.
Effectively intervenes with patient when safety becomes compromised.
Alerts staff appropriately when patient safety becomes compromised.
Trouble shoots equipment issues as needed.
Inventories and tracks location of equipment.
Additional
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.

Pay Range
